I just confirmed with the CSR, that one HD-DVR with dishHD package is 29.99 + 5.98. That's it. Add $5.00 for the locals. Also, they have cash back rebates to for $120. (1st, 10th and 20th month).

While 50% of BD titles have lossless audio, only about 15% of HD-DVD titles have lossless audio. That is what I read. I care more about lossless audio, than fancy extras and IME etc. I never watch those anyway.

Some of your post is incorrect. The new Multi channel audio can be sent out as bitstream through HDMI, just not through TOSlink. Bitstream sends the raw data while LPCM sends the PCM data. The onboard decoder is used for PCM while the onboard decoder is bypassed for bitstream.

I work for GE. Universal is owned by GE. I sent them a mail through this link as well as an internal link within GE. Hopefully someone is listening. Ignoring Bluray is ridiculous. I guarantee that there will be an overall surge in High Def titles sold if Universal comes onboard BD.
