Honestly, I didn't look too closely at it. I just noticed that the five speakers were lit up on the screen of the receiver. It typically only does that for Dolby Digital. If it is in stereo, I don't get that.

Interesting. It seems to be working fine on my old Pioneer receiver. I am using an optical cable. I wonder if others are using HDMI into their receivers?

5.1 audio from Netflix works fine for me.

5.1 registered fine on my receiver last night. I was watching Netflix through my Hopper 3 and was getting 5.1 to my receiver.

Not on my page. Dish tells me it is not available for the Hopper 3. Have tried chat, DIRT, and called in. All are telling me I can't get it through them.

Actually, all the recordings were back the next morning. Not sure what to think. The receiver has worked flawlessly since Sunday morning. The new receiver will arrive today, but I am not sure if I should switch it out or not.

Not the HDMI. Hard drive failure. 311A error. Unfortunately nothing I can do. They are sending me a new receiver in 2-4 days. Not happy at all. I got my new equipment in less than 24 hours.

Skip the Hopper 2 and go to the Hopper 3 with four Joey's. Should be a free upgrade for an existing customer.

Netflix works on the two Joey 2.0's that I have. I got an error message originally when I tried to use it, but it works fine now on both. H3 still says February 11th. Maybe you should reboot and try again?

I was told that the option doesn't come up on my account for them to send it to me.

I would assume it goes into the 2.0 port. By the way, where did you get the adapter from? I am getting the run around from Dish and can't get one.

I did not get escalated, so I assumed just the normal CSR. I had to call back in today to make sure my Netflix discount was getting sent to me. I had the code within 10 minutes of the call.

It was the first Hopper 3 for my installer yesterday too.

I am leaving work. Headed to the house to get my Hopper 3 installed. Technician should be there within the hour. Whoohoo! I will update later. Planning to take some video and post it too.

I have been a Dish customer for 16+ years. I called today and was able to get a full upgrade. Getting rid of my 722k and 512. Will now have Hopper 3 and two Joey 2.0's. Equipment and installation is free. I also got a $50 discount per month for 12 months, and Netflix free for one year. Feeling...
