I think the C Band footprint map is kinda misleading because even though I am using a 10 footer I have noticed that I only get a decent signal on the Hugo Chavez mux from around 9pm ET to 3 or 4am, the rest of the day the signal is so weak I cannot get a lock

You sure can, I have an ancient LNB with a chaparral feedhorn and works like a charm with my 10 footer, I have never liked those LNBFs because Ive tried at least 4 different brands and not one can compare to the quality I get with my Chaparral Feedhorn

weird, my coolsat 6000 is able to lock it with lots of strength, I get audio but can't watch it since it's H264. I tried to lock it using DVBDream and DVBWorld and I get nothing? maybe it's the low SR or something? im stumped
