Lil more info to help, I am just interested in SD. The sat is S/Ku. Like i said, the receiver is dead. So would i need another device to move the motor, on top of a FTA receiver. Again, any help is greatly appreciated.

The more i think about it, it could be a 10'. to be honest, I am not 100% sure. My mom may kill me if I got him a FTA receiver, its not like he needs another hobby. But, knowing him he will get hooked looking for feeds.
