I do this as well, by using smart plugs. Then I can just tell Alexa to turn on/off the various receivers.

Have you upgraded it to the March 2025 firmware? The GTX OTA tuner is as good as our Sony Bravia TV (perhaps slightly better) and comparable (or slightly better) than our HD Homerun tuner. I have not tried the recording functions yet (need to buy an SSD to stick in the unit). PS- the GTX uses...

    5g interference

Sure sounds like the interference I was receiving on the 8-foot Unimesh. This completely fixed the issue: https://titaniumsatellite.com/products.php#!/C140-LNBF-Single-Output-4-0-4-2GHz-5G-Blue-Band-Pass-Filter/p/711464893

If you have any questions about your new box, let me know :) Are you going to use the 2nd tuner for OTA? Just curious if there was an additional "small tuner" in the box? They said mine was missing one.

Make sure you're not tuned to WRAL when you make the edit. I selected the "Microspace61" channel then edited WRAL, then hit Exit and it asked me to "Save."

Got it to work on radio channel. On 101 KU, 12000 V 20000, WRAL scans in on a blind scan, however it has no audio. Change VPID to 0, change APID to a Muzak/Mood APID, change PCR PID to 0, hit Save. The audio will then change when you exit the menus. HOWEVER, if you change away from that channel...

lost_mesa : From the main menu, go to Channel, TV Channel List, select a channel, press green button on the remote, then press OK. That brings up this screen which allows you to edit video and audio PIDS.

The GTX is even better in this regard ;) Good summary, cyberham the only difference for me is I find myself using the Edision less and less. The GTX does just about everything I need.

Not really. Changing transponders is easy on the commercial receivers, you just can't blind scan. You also need to make sure the receiver has the proper licenses and tuner cards to do everything you want (HEVC, 4:2:2 etc).

I contacted GTMedia about the ATSC tuner issues and they said this: "Dear, you can open a return for the reason missing parts, thank you! We have a small tuner for the atsc signal in the package." Supposedly there was supposed to be a "small tuner" in the box. They want me to return the whole...

KKAB-DT is now on the air in metro Albuquerque!!

Not to hijack your thread, but while we're talking about Albuquerque OTA TV, I see that KOAT Channel 7 has their own live bandscan tuner now. It appears to be located at their studio and it's frequently tuning channels 160+ miles away...

Just FYI the only way to set a static IP on the GTX is to use WIFI. If using ethernet, it pulls a new IP every time the box reboots regardless of the IP you set for it. We have a Comcast fiber gateway, so I'll be looking to see if I can reserve an IP for the GTX's mac address that way.
