anything special to which you're making reference?
I have a similar need to Win, along with Lord Vader, and I'm not sure that with a tv already running dish output there handy would I need anything else to hookup to the vid card?
I've done it --- but it was new construction and the wiring is now covered over.
here is what I did ==== and proceeded to FORGET what I did ... <ggggg>
one DVR in living room sending TV2 signal out on channel 77 to remote tv in bedroom
one DVR in sun room sending TV2 signal out on channel...
thanks for the replies
so from what has been said I deduce there are no inherent difficulties in mirroring an HD feed to a SD tv.
now, before I decide which combo of HD DVRs, SD DVRs, and SD receivers I am to order I must come up with what signals I'll need where and in what definition...
what happens when one takes a HD feed from one of the HD capable Dish DVR Receivers and sends a mirror image to a SD television set?
don't need a discussion of more receivers
don't need a discussion of "how to use diplexers and/or splitters"
I'm just curious about a simple HD connection sent...
one idea I've attempted to mull over in my feeble mind is to come up with .. I've most likely a couple in the storage room ... is to use a couple of preamps for the mirrored A and B sets of speakers.
were I to do that, I'd probably use four sets of Bose 141s.
another thing I have done in...
bit of a clarification on my part about the red line only interrupt ....
there was NO provision for ground side connection .. THAT was what I didn't care for ...
I actually think the guy at RS sold me some form of a line interrupt slider, not a volume control ... fwiw
and, I do suspect that...
HEY .... thanks for all the great help ... always been impressed with this board for the vast amount of experience which is so freely given ... I've been a lurker for a goodly while .
Now ... the Sansui model is not available ... I had to strip the case/cover to get it to fit into the...
...The instructions for the RS slider had me interrupting only the RED side of the speaker lead wire ... wasn't too happy with that either.
My load *( used my Fluke multimeter) showed 7ohms at the most remote speaker set.
The system is working great ---- I just don't want it as loud in the...
I was told on another website that these lilttle el cheapo contols will work for my needs ... whatcha think? .... *(I've already bought them ...ggg) but I can take a hit.... Lot(4) Speaker Volume Control Audio MONO VAR Resistor - (eBay item 200181876619 end time Dec-07-07 13:08:12 PST)
OK ... the website with the VC300 has (for me) expensive contols ... that could be my problem with the cheapo RS control which was less than 5bucks ...
dang .. hate to spend that much money if I can do it cheaper ... LOL
thanks for the quick reply from both of you ... the VC300 is pretty much what I got at RS .... could be the output into the speakers is my problem due to legnth of wiring ... dunno ...
thanks for the help guys
what type specifics are needed ?
I have a Sansui amp with multiple inputs ... cd/phono/recorder/etc *(one of which I've wired output from a sat system tv with sat radio)
which outputs into six rooms NOW via hardwired remote speakers
strange request, most likely
BUT
I have hooked up 8 tv sets to my two dual 622s ... no need for help on any of those
EXCEPT
the one tv that I have dedicated for sat radio.... it functions fine as a tv but I'm only interested in the radio sat signal on it going into an amplifier
I'm sending the...
here is what was reported to me that happened by my wife, as I got home after the original loss of signal ....
only had E* for a month means I'm not operating on much background info
intense rainstorm knocks off signal on both 522s which each have a TV1 and a remote TV2 ... 4 total
signal...
here is how to change the address on your Remote Control for TV2
1- turn on the tv
2- press front panel SYSTEM INFO button
==== this screen menu will show the address for the Remote
3- hold down the SAT button on your remote until ALL the mode buttons light up (about 3 or 4 seconds)
4-...
boba ...... for the local radio stations the town is small enough I don't even need rabbit ears, the internal antenna is sufficient, but I want the "locals" from DFW ... 100 miles away and too far for rabbit or even anything less than a full blown really good 50 ft mast...
TheKrell ...
rcdallas ....
that sound good to me...
I'll give it a try early next week. I'd do it sooner but I have my honeydo order list full for the remainder of the week and the weekend... and I need to get that cleared so I can go fishing and golfing more readily next month ... LOL
Vince ... no, it wasn't a single/dual difficulty ...
what made it really strange to me, and a bit odd to her, was the blue light (signify TV2 ) on the reciever would NOT come on ... even though I was picking up a single random channel output ....
I'm very new to satellite.
I operate in the NO FEAR mode most of the time .... much to the regret of family and friends .... ggggg
here is a potentially stupid question .... but along with nofear I also have thick skin and skull.
I have two 522 receivers.
On another thread here I have an...
message went out before I was finished "thinking" .... ggggg
then I can use the remote control for the remote tv to change satellite channels to the multiple audio availabilities .....
any advice?
distance precludes use of RCA ....
thanks for the advice about the lack of FM receiver and digital satellite signal
how would this work ???
I'm going to give it a whirl next week when I catch some time ...
feed TV2 into a small tv in the closet area where I have my audio stuff
use...
here are a couple of answers
conduit ---- should've stated it better ... as I am great at "doing what I'm told by the head of the houselhold" there is always a bit of remod work going on in the house.
The origninal master circuit breaker box was going to be too small imo to handle the stuff...
...receiver need to be tuned into the same channel used for the remote tv? ... and then use the TV2 output to differing music channels available from E* ?
I have a chart showing the various frequencies that tv channels use and can see where tv channel six should be relatively easy to tune in...
...EXCEPT it was yet another channel .... no blue light on the 522 ... couldn't change THAT channel either ....
OK .... tech help time ...
called E*
after punching in the required info onto the phone line comes this verrrrrry pleasant sounding voice ....
she had me do all kinds of remote...
