We took a close hit on Aug. 10th which hit our neighbor's tree approx.fifty feet from the house. The strike took out both DMX 741's, a V Box X, three Ku lnbs, an SG2100 motor, my new MicroHD :(, the 500GB hdd attached to it, as well as two other FTA recvrs attached at the time to those dishes...

I as well had some issues with the MicroHD handshaking with my V box X when I fired it up for the first time using the factory shipped f/w. The setup was just as it was when I disconnected the Solomend PVR800 which died a month before the Micro's arrival here I believe it was a power supply...

Currently using two motorized 10 foot mesh dishes both with a DMX 741 feed, one uses a V Box 10, the other uses a DSR922 for a mover, neither feed uses the switch on the feed, just 4 seperate RG6 runs, all over 150',switched at the receiver end with a 4:1 diseqc...all on a Solomend PVR800...

The NBC Mux did not show up on a blind scan this morning at 5 CST on either the S9 or the Traxis using two separate dishes. I have noticed this several times is the past few weeks. Sometime after 8 am it comes back. Last scan shows it is a very low signal 71Q

Traxis DBS3500 still hooked up, and still the best blind scanner I have owned.

I was surprised how much signal that tiny dish pulled in, especially with that second reflector on it. It seems to focus the signal tighter this way as I tried setting it up by extending the distance to the lnb like a conventional offset dish. There was a major difference in the gain. I tried...

No dents from this last storm, but you can see hundreds of tiny dents, and only if you look at the mesh from the side. Both unimesh dishes have them from the 4 o'clock to the 9 o'clock position, none of them are very noticeable until you view them from the side. Do you think these tiny dents are...

Pixl it rolled through about three this morning, fortunately not near as bad as our neighbors 250 miles northwest of us experienced. Some downed tree branches, a broken guy wire on the OTA antenna, a 30 minute power outage, and a half inch of rain here near Beaumont, Tx.
