My install of the 622 happened last Saturday. No DISH1000 was installed. I am getting all the HD channels in on my current setup which is DISH500 + a 300 looking at 61.5. Though I must say it seems to be still up in the air whether they're going to move the ATL local HD channels to 61.5 or not.

Also all games for the Worldcup 2006 in Germany (not qualifiers) will be broadcast live by the ABC/ESPN/EPSN2 channels ... in HD.

I have the exact same experience as your father-in-law (same equipment); though it can also be just my eyes like it that way. Just like you I do not understand it totally either ... I know by theory it should not.

I have been pretty happy (and must be pretty lucky) with the 921 ... the OTA tuner does fine (in my subjective vision even slightly better than the 811). I have been able to record 2 (sat) sessions at the same time and have been able to record OTA programs back-to-back with channel switching...

What is your location, where are the stations from?

In the end the problem was that the receiver had somehow reset itself back to channel 1 (I am using 3) .... pure speculation would have me believe it was probably one of the many reboots that some ... And yes, it was just a "read the manual" trick to retransmit the correct number. Thanks!

Thanks for the input - I will try the hardboot and/or sysinfo piece tonight when I get home. Did plenty of soft-boots over-time for totally different reasons ... :) I was hoping it would not be an "accidental" channel change, because would that not be impossible to get back if the receiver is...

Hi, I have a 811 ... a while ago the remote and receiver stopped responding to each other. The batteries are fine, the different lights light-up when entering channel numbers etc ... but the receiver is not responding to the commands (tried infrared-way also). I have been getting around...

Previously I have agreed that the 811 OTA has better pickup than the 921 had. With the new L2.11 software release for the 921 (*very* happy with it BTW), my 921 OTA now actually seems to be pulling in the channels better than the 811. Though I have no scientific facts to this.

I have a Samsung HLP 4663 DLP with the 811. Knowing that the set is 720p native I had set the 811 at 720p output originally but since then I switched it to 1080i and I think that is actually looking a lot better. Though I did this when watching the US open on CBS, and the CBS transmission is...

FWIW (I know this doesnt help you much), but I have had no problems switching the 811 between HS20 pj and a Samsung HLN4365 (rptv) ... Samsung set is native 720p and switched to that without a hitch (though the input is 480/720/1080 which must have made that part easier)
