I just requested a (second) replacement 992 due to the black screen/fan issue, I hope I don't have any issues and in here in the promised time frame. Can't imagine not having service for that long (its my only receiver). Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I did not notice if it had the hd icon or not when I set the recording, but I chose channel 150 which is speed HD. Also even if the race was not in HD, wouldn't the rest be in HD (logo, commercials and promo ads their HD shows)? When tit recorded everything was SD. I'll keep an eye for the logo...

Would there be a reason why a scheduled recording would pick the SD feed of an HD channel? This has happened a few times on SPEED HD, any ideas? while browsing live TV it always shows it in HD. Is it just a bug or is there something I need to do to make sure it records in HD? its kind of hit or...

Ah makes sense, I thought letting the TV do both at once would be better but between the audio sync and time it takes to switch resolutions I guess its fine the way it is!

I can't delete my recordings. Online it says it deleted but it really didn't, on the box itself the process bar keeps going and never stops so I had to exit out. Recordings are all still there :( This only started a few days ago as I was able to delete last week. Anyone run into the same issue?

Bummer, thought there may be a benefit of doing one up-conversion (like 720p -> 1080p) instead of two (720p -> 1080i -> 1080p) . thanks for confirming, would have spent a ton of time looking at all the menus!

Is there a way to set the 922 to output each channel's native resolution? 720p for example? Currently it seems everything goes to the TV as 1080i (or whatever you set it at). Would like to let my TV do the conversion instead of the box and see if that improve the quality or not.

I just got dish last weekend and honestly am not fully up to speed on how it all works. I do notice the 61.5 channels don't look as good as the 72s so am hoping this migration means these channel will have improved PQ. Is this right? Since I have fairly new installation I shouldn't have to call...
