354283invalid@example.com (bruce C)bruce CProbably not the only one to experience this. Scenario:
TV has an analog tuner,
using a Tailgater i am occasionally unable to connect to a satellite,
however the VIP211 receiver will convert OTA reception from digital to analog but only IF you are able to connect to a satellite.
Now, does anyone know of a method to 'fool' the VIP211 into a mode where it will accept instructions to search for OTA signals after it has failed to connect to a satellite?]]>0dish size requiredSun, 22 Feb 2015 23:09:46 +0000

346066invalid@example.com (thebilgey1)thebilgey1I hope this is a the right place for this.
The standard 1000.2 dish with the triple LNB doesn't really get a strong signal. Has anybody done any mods on a bigger dish to which they have attached the triple LNB? I have a 1 meter Hughesnet dish that I can use if it will get me a stronger signal on 110,119 & 129.
Thank you for any input.]]>6Local Channels, Spot BeamsSun, 07 Dec 2014 22:00:09 +0000

344656invalid@example.com (Andrew Beeby)Andrew BeebyHello, Please excuse me if this seems a stupid question. I am on a vessel with DISH fitted and I am aware of the issues and regulations with Sat TV on boats. My issue is local channels. At present the vessel is in the Nassau, Bahamas and I cannot get local channels for Florida, I understand and know why having studied spot beam maps etc. My issue is last winter we received local channels with no issue from 61.5W. I have tried all Sats available and also my ZIP is correct and authorized. I...

343538invalid@example.com (Radioguy41)Radioguy41I'm curious if it's possible to use a Dish receiver/DVR as a stand alone (not connected to Dish service) DVR to record off air using an outdoor antenna. I know there would be no guide info but that's not a deal breaker. Something like a VIP 722K or ?]]>7Flash Sale Popup
